An issue has been reported in Reckon APS Tax 2019.1.0 where the taxable income of a spouse drops off when re-opening the tax return.
This issue affects some individual tax returns.
This issue has been fixed in Reckon APS Tax 2019.1.2. Any new returns created after the upgrade will not encounter the problem. However, returns created before the APS Tax 2019.1.2 release may still have this issue.
An Individual Returns Analyser utility is now available to identify the following:
• For any returns with an editable status, e.g. Started, Under Review etc. the utility will locate and fix the affected returns.
• Any returns in a non-editable status e.g. “SentForSigning”, ”Signed” but have not been lodged or finished, the utility will locate and report on differences in the returns.
These returns can then be changed back to an editable status to be fixed.
• With returns in a non-editable status e.g. “Lodged”, “Finished”, the utility will report on any differences in the returns. A potential amendment to these returns may be required.
