An issue has been reported in Reckon APS Tax 2019.1.2 where 2018 TT forms are unable to be lodged. The following error message is displayed upon lodgement:
We have identified that this issue occurs if an agent attempts to lodge a 2018 TT form when their AUSkey does not have permissions for this lodgment type for various reasons, after they fix the permission issue and re lodge the form, the ATO sees it as a duplicate and sends back a rejection of the lodgement. In few cases, even though the error has been returned, the ATO have still processed the form.
This is currently under investigation. In the interim, please follow the below workaround:
- Match the name of the client in APS with the name on the portal. This includes "the trustee for", any spaces, etc.
- Re-enter the name of the trust manually inside the return and save.
- Lodge the return again.
